I live in the middle of Thetford Forest and see foxes every day. This is what they look like.









Believe me, the eyes of living animals do not look all black.

At one time, glass eyes for taxidermy purposes were extortionately expensive. A viewer would not necessarily look at the tale of a stuffed animal, but would always look at the head and definitely into the eyes. If they weren't right the taxidermist would not have fitted them.
