Grant, if you ever make it down to this remote part of North Carolina, I will certainly provide you with a free beer and it won't be mass produced or lite.

I added myself but must have botched up the address, as it put the pin in the center of my zip code instead of my home address. Not really much of a problem, as I am sure anyone wanting to visit, would likely PM first and not just drop by. If they don't so other family will be completely surprised by kilted visitors, so be it.

I'll certainly drink your beer Brian but to be honest I'd really love to try your bread.

I'm curious, in Canada my Postal Code is specific to the dozen or so houses in my cul-de-sac. How large of an area does a Zip code cover?

From the quite small, to the (usually) quite huge. Mine covers about 12x12 city blocks.

There is a 4 digit addition that can get down to within half a block or so, but few people bother with it.

Actually, in much (most?) of the country the Zip+4 will narrow it down to an individual postal customer. I use a post office box and you could address a letter to me using just my name and the Zip+4 and it would have no trouble getting to me. In smaller cities and towns the Zip+4 also can be attached to specific buildings.

    Brian
