I too, like Alex, have bought numerous low cost items from tartanista, the most expensive being a $50 8yPV off the rack kilt. The quality of his stuff is lower end, certainly not collectible or something I would anticipate handing down to my children, but as Alex said good for casual wear.
I would expect his Argyll to be made of wool, but not necessarily the greatest quality or weight of material, and likely manufactured in Pakistan using the fusing technique for many parts rather than traditional tailoring techniques, although I could be wrong. Usually the guys selling the good stuff state Made IN Scotland in their descriptions.
Most of his sporrans are knockoffs of other folks original designs, and not great ones at that, but functional for the most part. The guy does a decent business and is usually pretty good at shipping quickly, and does answer questions if you give him a couple days to do so before the auction ends. His store is rather sizable if you feel like grazing sometimes (I do over lunch at my desk sometimes).
Good luck.
