I started out with a wool quality tartan kilt. I wanted only tartan associated with my family name / Clan. After that I realized that I didn't want to wear that on a casual basis and made an X-kilt for casual wear. I am now interested in quality wool kilts in all the Ross Tartans, and maybe a couple more contempary for more casual wear. They will most likly be X-kilts as well, I like the idea of sewing my own, not too fond of modern contempary store bought ones that I have seen such as the utilikilt. Not knocking them for those that do like them, just personal opinion.
