    Old Man Sweat: videos

    Core workout for the Games.

    http://cmgm.stanford.edu/~ahebert/CoreWorkout.mp4

I mix this up, sometimes instead of sit-ups, I'll do hanging leg lifts. You can see a good lookin' brunette lass in the background as I'm doing the hammer wind core crushers, who's doing these. sometimes instead of the lateral lifts I'll do Russian Twists on the incline situp board. The suitcase lifts are part core-part speed-legs. The goal is to move the weight fast, and I want to actually clear my feet off the ground with those two 75 pound db's.

Next week sometime I'll put up video of my upper body workout. Then (maybe) my legs-strength workout and then my legs-explosive workout. That pretty much covers my gym time.

Say Hi to Workout Demigoddess Cori. It's pretty funny, she shows me how to do the cable chops better and I turn right around and do 'em my same old way. I gotta work on that. What she wants me to do is PERFECT for throwing.

I'll get Workout Goddess Wendy in one of the other ones.

Pretty much. It's all about getting your hips driving your upper body. This will help dramatically in the weights and stones. If you drive with your hips in the Weight Over the Bar and the Caber, think in terms of using both legs/hips to apply the power.

I didn't see you doing any snatch or wide grip deadlifts. Do them from the floor or from blocks. Naturally from blocks you want to use more weight.

Check this out: My Throwers Workout Dec '08

Snatch grip deadlifts, bench press, core blaster, hanging knee raise, Kelso chins, bent row. Three times a week and throw more than you lift.

Keep in mind that you can be either "a lifter who throws" or "a thrower who lifts".

    The difference is profound.

"Old Man Sweat Videos?" For a moment there, I thought I had clicked the wrong bookmark.

At any moment you must be prepared to give up who you are today for who you could become tomorrow.

I wondered for a second if Steve had added a new adult forum to the site.
