Note when comparing prices make sure you are comparing the same quality of tartans aka Lochcarron with Lochcarron and the same weight.

As stated earlier in the thread (not sure if you read it), but we wanted to focus on comparing PRICES only. It would then be up to the individual to compare other details that they think are important.

You may also want to compare the kiltmakers who do it as a hobby with the full-time professional who run it as a business.

This is something individuals will have to decide. Is it better to get a kilt from a full-time professional or from someone that does it on the side or as a hobby? That is for each person to decide. I do know there are plenty of NON full-time kilt makers that do great work. There are quite a few on the list. Again, this is something each person will have to decide on.
