Something that needs to be borne in mind when quoting Wm. Anderson, or indeed any other kilt merchant, is that their "advice" is designed first and foremost to sell the products they offer in their shops. In the instance of Anderson's their advice is text book correct, but a bit over the top when applied to most real world circumstances, as Jock Scot has quite succinctly pointed out.

Thank you Scott. Well thank goodness Anderson's are not, apparently, advising a PC(tux equivelent) as suitable attire for weddings anyway!
