Ron, I think the UKs exactly suit your style and lifestyle. I've seen the Survival (but not yet purchased one). I think you should go for it.

Too old?!!! Do we stop wearing Utilikilts when we reach a certain age? NO! Because we're Americans! Did we stop when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

Just keep a couple of things in mind:
1: You know how to rock the Utilikilt!
    2: Chicks dig it!
    3: Any questions? See #2

But at that point you probably won't care what others think anyway.

In Scotland we were always told it was the Japanese who had bombed Pearl Harbour.

No sure St. Peter will be there to meet you... I think he covers a different afterlife threshold!

Ron, I just took a good hard look at all the pictures you've posted on Face Book. You make everything you wear look good. Things that would look terrible on other people look spectacular on you! Why is this even a question?!?!

Yeah... that was my thinking too...

If memory serves -- I'm getting older -- one of the reasons for wearing a UK, as published on their website, was "You never see anyone piss their kilt."

And for your inner outdoorsman: "It's much easier to run away from danger with your kilt up around your hips than your pants down around your ankles."

So I guess the answer to your question is: "They already are."

    Oh' really?

Seriously though, Google the quote, or check out azwildcat96's youtube link.

Back on topic now. I sure hope we are not too old. I for one am not willing to put my Utilikilt way for good just yet!

    Alex,

That's a famous John Beluchi line from the movie Animal House....a lovely movie which well describes my college experience since my fraternity was a drinking fraternity - much like the Deltas in the movie and I went to college just up the road from where Animal House was filmed.

If you can find a copy of Animal House, rent it and enjoy. Should have been kilts in that movie....maybe the remake.
