Although, it is not a Henry James style of psychological hanky panky. There is no inferring of thoughts, then the inferring of the inference of thoughts, then the inferring of the inference of the inference of the thoughts, then the recognition of the inferring of the inferring of the inferring of the original thoughts. Rather, the hanky panky is mostly inferred, Keats-like, then the states of mind, post hanky panky, are discussed: the decentering of the male Self etc. Singing does, however, take place at some point afterward.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
