By common consent, neither of them allowed any shadow of the future to intrude on their lovemaking. Initially wary of giving full rein to his passions, Adam had been moved beyond words to find himself courted with a fervor equal to his own.

I will refrain from going on since that may push the family friendly atmosphere.

    A little off topic -

Now if you want a bodice ripper go with Katie MacAlister's Steamed or the Angie Fox's Demon Slayer series.

Aye, and in a Romance language with frog medicine on the ears... That could be analyzed to a point of no return.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Not sure what "frog medicine" is.

The song was Yo me soy la morenica. The story line is her mother is Castillian Spanish so I would guess Spanish is a natural language for her.

I remember reading that series about 20 years ago. I know there was great scen where two of the male characters were in full highland formal dress and traveling in a Jaguar convertible.

At that point I knew I needed a kilt.

Still working on the Jaguar convertible, though.

You remember right. They got checked out by a couple cute girls too, IIRC.

It occurs to me that this hifalutin' description of getting down is not dissimilar to the discussion of euphemisms for the place where one deposits one's converted food...as opposed to one's converted vitamin E. (see: "Blazing Saddles")

If that is the same passage as I am thinking of, Peregrine puts on a "cap" that Adam has in the vehicle. I can't be sure, but that might be... a... flat cap.

If anyone is interested, there are a few anthologies about the Knights Templar that Katherine Kurtze has edddited and written in, along with some other interesting authors... I haven't read through all of them, but there is some history, and it looks like mostly fiction.

    Tales of the Knights Templar
On Crusade: More Tales of the Knights Templar
Crusade of Fire: Mystical Tales of the Knights Templar
