I really don't have a problem if someone wants a change, but I get tired of hearing shows slam on people for not doing this or that. It can also turn into a circus that really cements the whole "don't be different!" thing.
That said, I embrace my silver-streaked, long hair, and wear what I'm happiest wearing (and my hubby certainly doesn't complain! ;) ). I definitely don't need a makeover (now, a little cash to buy what I want to wear would be helpful! Ha!).
I stopped watching TV a few years back and do not miss any of that stuff. The other pop-guru thing for a while was to tell people to throw away everything you haven't used in the last year. I'm sure that one probably ruined some lives; lead me, oh, Wise One! Right into the bug zapper.
Still have long hair though, Cynthia.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
