    it makes moving the sporran out of the way impossible.
    Just a point of clarification, it may be a little effort but not impossible. Most sporran hangers have button snaps to slip them on and off a belt without undoing the belt. If you want to remove your sporran, just pop the button snaps and the entire rig comes off.

    If you want to remove just the sporran, use the trigger snaps that attach to the d-rings on the back of the sporran.

    I own a pair of hangers that I use for casual wear. For example when we go the park with our dogs or to the beach etc. I also wore them for a vacation recently on normal day tour outings. BUT...let me tell you not all sporran hangers are made the same and Steve's are very good and very durable. They are very good quality, so you'd do well to look at Oconee, the clips he uses are very strong.
