How cool! I'm in ABQ for the next week visiting our daughter. Just tonight, she just mentioned the River of Lights, and we're going to see them tomorrow.

I have no idea what we're doing for the rest of the week yet except going up to Farmington for a Navajo wedding of a friend at the end of the week, so, PM me if you'd like to get together for a beer!

I walked my dog yesterday morning, in the kilt of course

I passed a house halfway thru my little stroll and a lady popped out to wish me a "Merry Scottish Christmas". I returned her greeting and smiled all the way home.

Not what I expected...there are people watching us that truly do appreciate the Kilt.

    Your outfit looked smart!

Sure - that would be fun. PM me, and I'll let you know what my cell phone is, and we can figure out a place and time. Do you know anyone else who'd be interested?

I'm kilted in Albuquerque when I come home to visit family. Which sadly isn't very often.

Did you know that one of the best kiltmakers in the US (I've heard her called THE best) is in Albuquerque? Kathy Lare. She was recommended to my brother and I by one of the world's authorities on tartan design Dr. Philip Smith. When we asked him what kiltmaker he would recommend for our new kilts, we assumed he would name someone in Scotland. But, he recommended only Kathy. She is currently making each of us a kilt!
