Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Steve.
Might I also suggest a forum site (not sure that is the correct terminology) similar to "X Marks pays tribute to" that would document the History of XMTS.
The History of something is important. It's our link to the past. New members can go to the site and read about the origin of XMTS. Your history lesson was excellent and I am sure there is more that can be added by you and others who have something to say about the history of this fine site.

My opinion is that any collective organization does well to retell its story once a year, thus binding in the new members, and refreshing everyone in understanding of the effort, pittfalls, and joys of their working together.
I enjoyed Steve's contribution, but wonder if more could not be said.

Have you been here before?
There's much more to tell; some good, some bad, but what Steve has given here is a concise, "Beginner's Guide" to the Forum. Thanks, Steve, for informing some and refreshing the memory of others.

Steve, thank you for your post. As a less than 2 year member (May 2009), it is informative.
X Marks has been instrumental in my knowledge and growth as a new, but senior citizen, kilt wearer. My first kilt, a Wallace Sport kilt (my family tartan) was purchased at a Celtic Festival in March of 2009. Fourteen months later that Sport Kilt was traded in (Rocky's Cash for Clunkers) for a USA Kilts Wallace Casual and Isle of Skye Casual. I now have 5 kilts including a 13 oz wool Claus of the North Pole (STA 7869) kilt and a 16 oz wool 8 yd Edgar of Scotland Wallace kilt.
Accessories through X Marks advertisers: I'm in the photo on Dunadd Trading Co website wearing a custom Robert Mackie Clan Claus Balmoral, hose and garter ties from both Dunnadd and National Tartan Museum and 3 sporrans.
Since joining X Marks, I've met fellow X Markers at 5 festivals in FL, GA, NC, TN, PA and NY. I really appreciate the forum. A BIG thank you to Hank, the Mod Squad, Steve and ALL the Moderators over the years . I do miss hearing and seeing photos from the those who have become inactive.
