Excellent. Nice to see someone who understands complementary colours - the tasteful middle road beteen clash and matchy-matchy. Particularly like the day belt! Personally I would prefer brown shoes to go with belt/sporran but admit that's being picky and know others disagree...

Great effort. Love it.
No cricket comments from me though. Like Jock, I am aware that this is a kilt forum so it would be remiss to bring up that the Australians fared so badly this year against one of the best English cricketing sides of all time. And that the only reason you won the Perth test is 'cause the English let you. I wouldn't say anything like that... Not me! Oh no... not me. (it was a cracking contest though you have to admit. And the Rugby World Cup to come... Can't wait.)
You've seen right through me John
As for that that game in Perth I believe you guys did let us win , to keep the interest up in the series. As the world cup is in full swing I can only hope that the final is between you and us

Quite a smart looking kit. I especially like the sporran. Only suggestion that I have would be a pair of brown ghillies. With this I think you would look every bit the highland laird.

I have yet to see a photo of a highland laird, clan chief, etc. wearing brown ghillie brogues. In fact, those who wear ghillie brogues at all seem to be rare. Can you help me out?
Cordially,
David

Actually ghillie brogues are not often worn up here for day to day wear by the locals, including lairds, and in 70 plus years I cannot recall seeing a brown pair.

Downunder, you look splendid. However,

In all seriousness, Lukey, I'm not even kilted (yet) and one of the most important things I have learned here is that in the Highlands the idea of matching things, including leathers is not at all a concern - unlike with Saxon wear where matching seems to be paramount. From what I understand it is almost a requirement to wear black shoes and a brown sporran for day wear (HRH Prince Charles even does it, in fact).
According to that view, Downunder is splendidly turned out. I can only hope that I will be able to do it as well when it's my turn.
Regards,
Brian
I would side with lukeyrobertson on this one.
