    Albuquerque Tartan Day Events

Not a whole lot happening that I can find...

Two Fools Tavern (http://2foolstavern.com) on Central says "We'll have haggis for sure and probably pipers because we did last year.".

O'Niell's Irish Pub (http://www.oniells.com) on Juan Tabo has the Tir Conaill Irish Step Dancers at 6:00 PM and the High Desert Pipes & Drums (http://hdpd.org) at 7:00 PM.

I'll see if I can't sleuth out other events. ith:

If you don't have a picture...

I reckon it must've happened -- because here are some pics

    April 6, 2011.

It wsn't easy getting "oot and aboot" with crutches and legs swollen to 4 times normal sizes, but I did it!

This is me outside the Two Fools Tavern in Albuquerque, NM.

    This is my daughter Heather.

This is Russell (Owner? Manager?) of Two Fools Tavern.

Russell and I were the only two kilted gentleman there at the time.

That is, until these two showed up a little after 6:00 PM...
This is Zach and Bill Horn (Pipe Major) of High Desert Pipes & Drums (http://hdpd.org).

As always, the music by HDPD was top-notch. The food was, in a word, glorious. I had the Haggis, Neeps & Tatties. My daughter Heather had the Fish & Chips (Best in Albuquerque) - of course I had some of the Fish and Chips too For desert we had the Guiness Brownie. Totally recommend everything.

This was my first time to visit Two Fools Tavern, but I definitely plan on going again - hopefully many, many times .
