"My beloved America, thank you for your children. If your children want to become soldiers I will train them. When they are hungry I will feed them. When they are thirsty I will give them water. When they fight for freedom I will lead them. When they are unsteady on the battlefield I will motivate them. If they die on the battlefield I will bury them. So help me God."

Sounds good. What kind of dates are you looking at for having the kilt night? I'm cool with a non-bar gathering. I liked the idea of a kilted bowling night ;)

I'd drive over from "deep in the piney woods." It would be a great opportunity for me to meet some of the "local" X Marks members.

I live in Waco, and work second shift so anything during the week is out. We can sometimes get up to D/FW, but like Cynthia said, it takes some time to plan things. My wife is the church pianist and I teach a Sunday school class so it takes some time to get someone to cover them, and the there is the issue of our teenage boys. If we are gone overnight, we need to find a relative to stay with them.

Keep them going... I've been looking for work (Information Technology, Systems Engineer/Administrator) in that area for awhile and have considered relocating...

Im in for a kilt night gathering. I prefer bars because I like to sit back and sip on scotch while I smoke my pipe but I am in for whatever you all decide. Just let me know....
The Arlington Highlands has some very nice places, restaurants, bars and pubs, bowling. Just a thought. It would be cool to have a Kilt night in the Arlington Highlands......

I must ask, where have you found a bar that allows pipe smoking? Around Dallas, that's tough to find, unless its outdoors (or in my back yard).
As far as a D/FW kilt meet up, name it. As long as I'm not working, I can make it.
