That is a way better description. Kind of like a scallop...

I've had rattlesnake and frog legs. Ok I guess. No worse than some of the unidentified stuff I've eaten at the in laws over the years .

Never tried anything of that nature myself, but I am told they are tasty and crunchy.
There is a WORLD of difference between biblical kosher and rabbinical kosher...
One of the guiding principles of rabbinical kosher is what I sometimes call "the quacking duck" principle. In other words, the old adage: "If it looks like a duck.... And quacks like a duck.... It's a DUCK!" Analogously, if it LOOKS unkosher, it IS. The point is that we shouldn't even give the ILLUSION of impropriety and sin, even though technically we may not be doing anything wrong.
Anyway, that aside, I would love to try giraffe someday. Giraffes are the world's largest kosher mammals, as they have split hooves and chew their cud. ith:

And look much more majestic in the wild, nipping the leaves from the upper-most branches of the eucalyptus... rather than on your plate.

I had it. It's great stuff. Probably one of the best cups of coffee I ever had. But in my opinion not worth the price.

Skate and Mako shark are pretty common fare in the Northeast USA. Skate is cut up and served like scallops and tastes very similar. My weird submission is a Bobcat my friend and I shot while hunting up near Hudsons Bay. We decided to cook it and see how it tasted. Well the Bob part wasn't too bad, but it was kind of hard to swallow the Cat part.
