I will be making one myself and have a few other guys that I've enlisted to take trial versions as incentive for me to buy a sewing machine. I hand-sewed a traditional kilt about 10 years ago and while I had fun with it I was not really looking forward to hand stitching more so I've decided to make the plunge into the 21st century with a machine. I'll be sure to post photos once they're done.

Well, modified one to have a traditional apron , and I bought some scraps from Canuck to make a few more. OK, I bought everything he had on his recent post and brought it back with me on my trip to Toronto! I have enough for at least 5 if I remember correctly, a mix of hemp, denim, and cotton duc, and cotton twill in a variety of dark solid colors. I can't wait to get to work, planning on a mix of XKilts and knife pleateds, but I first have to make my wife a skirt out of the pink tartan I posted a while back, then I can make another for me!
