    I like the kilt! Nice pleatwork, though a little rumpled (you must watch Hamish's "sweeping the pleats" video! ) Kudos to your wife for the shirt and doublet. If you don't mind me asking what pattern did your wife use? How was the Ren Faire by the way?

    I almost alway sweep the pleats. I'm not sure how the pleats got so messed up.

    As for the patterns for the doublet and shirt...
    Both are Simplicity brand costume patterns. The doublet is slightly modified from the original (we left off the frilly things at the bottom). It's pattern number 4059.
    The shirt is supposed to be a pirate shirt and comes from pattern number 4923.

    The Ren Faire was a bittersweet event. The cast didn't interact much, that we saw, with the patrons/playtrons, and vendors were a tad on the pushy side. The faire itself is HUGE, and was rather enjoyable walking around. It was excellant for gathering ideas on more projects.
