Panache, I got a reply to my email of the 20th on the 21st that my items were on their way to him, and that he'd send them to me as soon as they arrived.

Did you send him an email at ian@GlengarryHats.com or a different address?

    Cheers

Fear not: the domain (right-hand side) is not case-sensitive.

I have no indication that the email bounced on my end.

    Very odd.

    Cheers

I sent a third email today and received the following message:

I apologise for this automatic e-mail reply, but due to the passing of my mother on June 23rd I will be unable to address business related issues until my return on June 28th. Inbound product shipments will still be received from the manufacturers during this time, and outbound shipping will resume as soon as possible after the funeral. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding,

    My condolences to Ian.

    I will keep you posted

    Jamie

It has now been 2 weeks since I ordered my hat.

I sent a email to him this morning offering condolences and a fourth request for some information about my order.

On the Glengarry Hats home page they say that

"In stock products usually ship next business day"

    and that

"Out of Stock or special items usually ship in 4-6 weeks"

Under that is a note that he is experiencing a significant delay receiving certain items and people wishing a refund should email Ian.

I certainly do not wish to be seen as a pushy customer and can appreciate this is not a good time for him. I can wait a month or so for a hat if need be. Still, I really feel a bit odd as one generally gets some idea of when one is going to get an item when one orders it.

    Cheers

    Jamie

I don't think I'd push the panic button quite yet Jamie - if he did get back on June 28th - then he's only had a few days to get his home and business affairs in order. As you know this is a tough call - you sir are a real gentleman so I'm sure you are trying to balance your respect for his situation with your desire for some sort of time frame for your purchase delivery. Hang in there my friend.

Now, if it were me in this situation, I'd be driving myself crazy right about now - but then, I don't have zeppelin...

    update

As of yesterday it had been three weeks since I ordered my hat and still no word from Ian. I sent another inquiry this morning and received an automated email this afternoon that my order had shipped. So hopefully in 4-10 days I'll have a review for you.

    Cheers

    Jamie
