Man, I've been DIEING for a pair of diced, but I can't find any for less than $150 and I don't have that kind of spare scratch just lying around. Any suggestions?

I think your kilt hose should always match whatever color shirt your wearing. So if you plan to wear a black shirt with your hose, then black hose are the way to go. Just my opinion but have fun, buy them all and figure out what looks best in your eyes.

I found six old pics of my SWK weatherd Lamont and I'm not wearing hose or shoes in any of the pics. It must have been warm. If I were to go throw it on now I'd grab my brown accessories and my oatmeal hose.

Kilt hose
Thanx all for the input. I really appreciate it especially the pix. Sometimes it is hard to visualize what some folks are talking about since I am new to being kilted. I am going to order the garter flashes from Matt N. at The Tartan Museum (the old fashioned wrap around type) in the two greens and then get some green hose also. I saw the threads for WPG and the khaki hose and may pick one up there. It is all starting to come together. The heavy weights will be great for two season wear up here in the mountains. Thanx to all again. I'll be ordering stuff today and will send pix once I get it all together.

Nighthawk, have you seen http://www.jhiggins.net/catalog/hose_diced.html
I dunno exactly what they're made of (wool blend like the other kilthose) or their quality, but that's a much better price...
I know they're rather formal, but I too love the look of diced hose

Unfortunately, the quality of those really isn't very good.

Not sure what would go best - I am a Campbell - I think the last thing we thought about what went best with Lamont was a piece of rope- just kidding!
Lovat green would look good.
