I have a charcoal one from tartanweb and I love it.

They are nice. I have a tweed black that I bought from Rocky at USA kilts, which I like a lot.
I concur that these are pretty dark. It looks a bit like my barathea Argyll Jacket with stag horn buttons. I saw a charcoal at the USA Kilts Store, which is lighter. Oh, well! Buy a bunch of them.
You will want to size up, especially if you buy from Rocky.
Anyway, I would rather buy from a local dealer than abroad. But that is my personal preference. Rocky's jackets are made in Scotland.

I'm no Ah-node Schvatz-neggar, but off-the-rack stuff does not fit me. I bought my made-to-fit black argyll jacket and the Cock of the North doublet from TartanWeb several years ago and they are a PERFECT fit. This was before the company changed owners, but if the tailor is the same person, you'll be in luck. As someone else suggested, do strictly follow the company's measurement guide.
