The one-sixth measurement probably works a lot better with the 4:5 ratio than it does with the 3:5 ratio. I'm guessing your judgment of 20 percent width will prove wise.

Hmmm, we use that technique a lot in art outside of heraldry. It's almost an alturnative to the golden ratio. It's also somewhat like the way the branch placement is decided in bonsai. Very interesting...
