He He ! These forests are "common grounds".
Any local resident is allowed to cut a few trees for Christmas .

Ah, the annual tree trip. Nice pics. Unlike your trip mine involves a trip to the local tree lot and all the accumulated marital wisdom which involves determination, stamina, the art of evasion and compromise before I surrender to the inevitable.

Yes, seriously I get the point.

The situation here is that our evergreen mountain forests suffer from suffocation. The trees grow too close to one another and they don't get enough light, enough air and they saturate the grounds so that no "leaf trees" can grow any more.

In the Alps, evergreens are becoming a problem. If we dont want the government to take drastic measures against them, it's rather cool that a few individuals like myself help the forest to be a better place for other plants, shrubs and trees, in a very simple way.

BTW, I talk to the trees I cut down weeks before they are sacrificed.
