Super pics, the wee saltire fair gets around.
Now we need to persuade the fiddler to get himself a kilt.

"Before two notes of the theme were played, Colin knew it was Patrick Mor MacCrimmon's 'Lament for the Children'...Sad seven times--ah, Patrick MacCrimmon of the seven dead sons....'It's a hard tune, that', said old Angus. Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.

Looks like great fun, Mein, hope it does become a regular outing for you! Antique Rows are much too dangerous for me to hang around. . . LOL

Wow, yes, that belt and sporran belt are amazing! Do you happen to know just what tartan that is?

Hmmmm this is not going to make me popular! I notice in the "great sporran and belt" picture that the chap is wearing a Brigade of Guards stable belt, did this gentleman serve in The Brigade? I suspect not, by the way he is wearing it. Jock is having a real problem over this and, OK, he is probably an American who thinks he is not causing any upset. If he did not serve in the "Brigade" and full marks to him if he did, by the way, could you at least ask him to wear it properly!!! The buckle is worn on the left hip, PLEASE.---------------- Better still, take it off.
Sorry chaps, but I would not dream of wearing your Marine Corps badge, for example.
