The Saltire in Kensington
Ben Williams (seated), piper and musician, invited me to the Gathering of the Scots sidewalk event at the Antique Row in Kensington, Maryland this past Sunday. I met Ben at the Royal Mile Pub in Wheaton last Friday.
That's me holding The Saltire, posing with the Celtic band. I think I was motioning the fiddler to come join us in the photo. He was apologetic (you can see it in his face) that he wasn't wearing a kilt.
Antique Row.
Plenty of music and singing! It was a perfect weather day too!
Notice his sporran "chain" and the belt! -- it perfectly matches the tartan!
(I didn't catch his name or who he was.)

I asked Ben if this is a monthly event and he said that's he's trying to make the event regular!

This is me in my Bear Tartan box-pleated kilt that I made. Blue shirt/dark blue hose with white knitted tied garters and The Saltire, of course.
