Nice photo Greg, I've moved it to off topic as it is not a kilt shot.

Chas, there isn't any naval equivalent. This is the 21st century. The president doesn't travel by ship.

Yes, there is. If POTUS flies on a Naval aircraft, then that aircraft is known as "Navy One".

Form that angle it looks like you live in New York. j/k

One of these SAM's flew into Cherry Point while I was working their as an Air Traffic Controller and the the size of these planes is amazing. It performed a touch and go on one of our run ways and the turbulence behind the plane knocked down every runway distance marker while it was on the ground. Watching it from the control tower was awesome. Very impressive air craft!

The wing tip vortices from a 747 descend at approximately 500 feet per minute. As a private pilot, I had to be especially watchful when mixing with the heavy iron at the larger airports. Those vortices can flip a small plane. Get hit with one close to the ground and you have no room to recover.

I love the photoshop program, I spend too much time playing with it. That being said:

300mm lens at a moving target, that is still an impressive pic. You probably have a decent camera as well.

This - and 11 other pictures of the Air Force One - was taken with a Nikon D300 with the 70-300 mm lens set at 300 mm, vibration reduction on and set to active, camera set on 3200 ASA. At 0744 it was only 25 minutes after sun rise.

"Ahhh, aircraft, Todd! Do ships ever get redesignated?"

That is a good question...I remember during the election Bush landed on a carrier.

And the S-3 Viking he flew on was "Navy One".
