I was in a similar situation at a restaurant the other night. I wasn't kilted, but when the topic came up that I wear a kilt, the 2 ladies at my table acted like I was wearing one. I got lots of attention from them. I had 2 business cards, one from USAKilts and one from Amerikilt that I handed out to the gentleman next to me. He's planning on getting a kilt and this was the just the kick start that he needed.

I had a few people ask me where my kilt was when I worked the Glass City Marathon last weekend. I didn't want to risk a Marilyn when we were having gusts of 60+MPH, and I was going to be working in the stadium where the winds would be from all over. Had to help hold up the arch over the finish line a few times, hold down paperwork for the timers, and chase more paperwork down. One of the few times I'd say it wasn't kilt weather.

Many of us tried to convince CavScout's wife that it was OK to wear a kilt anytime and anywhere some years ago. She even came to our first Burns Supper--about five years ago.

    I haven;t seen her since.

That's too bad, too. She was real nice and much prettier than Steve.
