Yep, you are certainly one step closer. The wait will be worth it. I can now promise you that. I've been thinking. If I were to get an IOS tartan kilt, I would probably go with another box pleat in the Lochcarron strome. Looking forward to seeing yours!

Great kilt. Superb tartan. I too love the earth tones of the weathered. Welcome to the select clan (privileged I think) of those of us who wear Matt's kilts. Enjoy! And you look great, by the way.

Bradley, Bradley, Bradley! If that smile were any bigger, the kilt would be hidden! A long time coming but worth the wait. ENJOY!

Hi Brad,
That's one nice kilt, I've always like earth-tones. Matt does a bang-up job.
I've said it before on this forum, and I'll say it again, box-pleats rule.

What a great looking kilt. I'm with you on the earth tones. My favorite kilt is a weathered Robertson. I just wish I'd gone ahead and bought it in an 8-yard model instead of the 5-yarder, but there you are.
I know you're thinking now that it was worth the wait. Congratualtions.

Great looking kilt! There is something special about the weathered tartans that seems to make them stand out. My tank is a MacRae Weathered Hunting that I just love.

Just my two cents: I'm not so crazy about everything else you're wearing (I detest "polo" shirts) in this photo, even though I prefer muted "earthy" tones over bright. If I were in your shoes, I'd choose a different color scheme to compliment this one...probably my black belt, black leather Rob Roy sporran, natural-colored hand-knitted hose, black boots and a black shirt of some kind. As it is, the tartan doesn't really stand out but maybe that's what you were looking to do. Regardless, great choice on your kilt.
