Di, the bonnets are very nice!
Love to get my wife in one. The whole Maureen O'Hara thing...
I have a bonnet for reenacting, but wear either ball caps or a gray plaid driving cap normally. The wife got a patchwork plaid cap for Seamus, the Boy.

I've been thinking about getting a bonnet or two, but I haven't decided which kind... Might end up just sticking to my flat caps. There are pictures of them earlier in this thread at this link.

The tartans museum sells an awsome hand-knit broad bonnet that ends up having quite a similar effect as one of the larger "8 panel" deals, when arranged correctly. It is better for a historic look, but if you should happen upon a cold winter day where you're wearing a big coat, they seem to look pretty good for modern purposes.

Is it the one on this page?

If Matt sells them you know the quality is very high.

    Cheers

Those are nice bonnets... He has some tams there too. I guess you can wear them kind of squished forward to get that... squished forward look of a flat cap and those kinds of hats.

BoldHighlander was talking back there about some links for flat caps he posted in one of my threads. Here's the quote from he was talking about.

    Here's the links:

Irish Flat Cap (nice brown or gray tweeds)

Ted, if your searching for a nice tweed style, I think the last link is what you might want. These Irish Flat Caps come in either a brown or a gray tweed, and are not badly priced at about $42.

    Very stylish looking caps Ted!
