I have two black and one brown kilt belts that have the size adjustment on the inside with velcro. After the initial messing around to get it to fit with a particular buckle they work fine, with only needing to adjust them when I change buckles.
I have one old belt that has a buckle on the inside instead of velcro. The velcro is slimmer and more adjustable and more comfortable.
I like the velcro adjustable belts.

Ya, but the belt buckles. I'm still looking into putting something like a D-ring on one of those... Guess it could even have fake prongs. It wouldn't be what holds the two ends of the belt together; just there for looks.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
