Would suggest that if a person "needs" a sporran to insure modesty when he sits then he's not wearing a well made kilt - underaprons do the job thank you, or if the kilt is tight on you, a "chop" to the apron center.

If you think a sporran will hold an apron down in the wind...well, good luck....kilting in the wind takes some practice, in the wind...

Often wear sporrans and often don't wear sporrans. I vote for choice and FREEDOM.

This little number from Stillwater Kilts is modern looking, very roomy and I think, great value for money. Even I've got one and I'm an English Bloke from Englandshire. I wear this probably more than any other. It's a stuff to tote and no pockets thing with me I'm afraid. Ron's right, you don't have to wear one but I find they are indispensably handy.

Just look at all the stuff I got in it.

I prefer to wear a sporran when I go out. I take it off when I'm at home.

English Bloke - I'm guessing the jaguar in your picture is a kilt pin . . . pretty cool!

As to the subject of this thread - I wear a sporran with my traditional kilts and usually not with a Utilikilt. That's what makes me comfortable: You deserve the same choice!
