I travel up there yearly and don't look at street signs. I believe the parade route begins on west Elkhorn Avenue through downtown ending at the Estes Park Visitors Center on Highway 34.

The Festival website has contact information if you need more specific details.

One caution get to the parade site before 8:30 am or there will be no getting up the parade route. I usually drive up past the Stanley Hotel and come to Elkhorn from the north, bypassing downtown on parade day.

Thanks, Now I have to wait another week before we leave. Oh well, I guess that'll give me time to iron my kilt. See you gents there.
Scotland is only 1/5 the size of Montana, but Scotland has over 3,000 castles and Montana has none.

I will be dropping things off for the clan tent on Thursday just as soon as I can get there from work. Then Joyce and I will be heading to the Tattoo that evening. I'll be at the clan tent all day on Friday, most of the day Saturday and Sunday.

We'll see you at your clan booth on Saturday, Greg.

Don't think I can make it this year. I have too much to do. I have 2 more festivals that I'm participating in. Oh well- such is life.

    2011 Longs Peak Tattoo

I arrived in Estes Park at 8:00 pm tonight and found out the dog unit has been disinvited to the Tattoos this year. I guess I will mostly hand out at the Rocky Mountain Irish Wolfhound booth in the dog unit. In view of the expense I will need to rethink my involvement in this festival in the future. This is my 13th year.

I opted to go to the HG in Pleasanton this year instead of the LPHG because of too many cut-backs. But, I may be back.

I haven't been to these games since 1993; started in 1990 and each year some of the benefits were cutback. Have no idea how much the cutbacks are now, but what a bummer.
