I'll chime in, Have bought from both, and have had no problems with either. I like Frugal Corner's better selection. Shipping has been the same, fast from both of them.

I guess the great, never to be answered question, is SWK's Standard weight and FC's 16oz the same product??? To me, FC's is a little heavier, and therefore, a little stiffer. But that could have been one run lot on one particula Tartan.

I have 2 FC "16 oz" and 3 SW "standard" kilts and I would have to agree that the FC material seems to be thicker and the whole kilt is a bit more substantial. Both of them are well worth the price though I like the FC better. However, I also have a few of the SW "economy" and FC "13 oz" kilts and I have to say, I will not order another "13 oz" again. The material and construction of some of the FC "13 oz" kilts is downright shoddy esp. when compared to the SW "economy" models. They must have multiple manufacturers too because the 3 I have are quite obviously made by 3 different people.

As far as their customer service goes, I know there are a few people in the past that had problems but I have never had a problem with them in three orders. I ordered a Campbell kilt before they had pics of it and when it arrived it turned out to be a Campbell of Argyle so I let them know and they exchanged it without question. I had one order of an out-of-stock item that took a looong time to get in but they kept me informed with an ETA on when to expect it. Overall, my experiences with FC have been outstanding and if I am in the market for an acrylic kilt again I will certainly look them up.

I got my Buchanan from FC, and have nothing but rave reviews! It was ordered special for a family wedding, and Mark not only kept in close contact, he even called me about a delay in the shirt delivery! I'll use 'em again, and I hope soon!!!!!!!!!!

I was just at the FC store yesterday. They've gotten in HUNDREDS of kilts in the past week. They're tripping over the darn things...PLUS they were getting ready to head out to Pennsylvania for the Celtic Classic Sept. 26-28 in Bethlehem.

Oh, yeah, I brought home a 16oz Gordon, too...

    Going to PA

I have to bust on ThreeBanger a little bit, the only reason he bought the Gordon is because it is the Green Bay Packers Colors!!

We just did the count last night as we loaded the truck, We are taking 1,192 kilts with us to the show. We had to rent a 26 foot Penske truck to take everything

Plus as a bonus (or not) we Just got in 32 cases of Haggis which are also going with us.

If you stop by the Event in PA (The Celtic Classic) and see us mention the website, you could get a nice discount.
