A kilted Klaatu! Who would have thunk it?!?
(The original "The Day the Earth Stood Still" is an all time Sci-Fi fave of ours.)

Star,
That's cool with me. I didn't mind. With respect to getting lost, I probably should've grabbed my Thomas Guide out of the car to help out with getting back to QA...

Watch out, here we come-in fact I do believe we'll be with you in less than 8 hours! That is, if I can ever escape from this cat (Sushi, Steve and Bobbie's neurotic, but incredibly sweet, Siamese cat has decided to grace my lap!)
We went to Butchart Gardens yesterday, and then had a mini kilt night with Macman last night (after a nice long afternoon nap to help recover from the marvelous party the night before-where I overindulged a bit).
I know I've been slow in the photo department, but I'm only managing to snatch small moments online-fun keeps getting in the way!
Be well,

I am thoroughly enjoying seeing your trip... I was thinking, Jamie should have worn the cammo kilt in the state park and the Loud McLeod on the Space Needle for maximum visibility... you might have been visible as far as the curvature of the Earth would allow....LOL..
I am glad your whole family are having such a wonderful time visiting so many places and meeting XMarkers along the way.. you have a safe trip and please continue to post them pics..
oh and thank you for taking that heat up north....hehehehehe It had been in the 100+ for about a month down here in Texas... but mysteriously, since you went north...its been cooler.. usually in the high 80's... I might have to get use to this weather...lol
Be good, and be safe.. and keep them kids seeing everything they can... I believe that is just as educational as books..

Now that I see how much fun you guys had, I really regret missing the kilt night, but duty called. With all of our heat earlier this week, a kilt would have been a lot more comfortable than a military uniform. Glad to see everyone had a good time and that the visit up to our little corner of the country went well.

It was an absolutely splendid time and I was very pleased to be able to return the hospitality that was shown to Shelly and I last year. To all that attended, thank you for your contribution to making this gathering a great success.
