I've actually been looking forward to said belt since before the Elder Sign buckle, as I think the chi rho buckle will look AWESOME with that brown sporran... especially when worn with the weathered Ross tartan.

Well, you make a a very good point.
When one really start putting things together, the silver/black (pewter, sterling) buckle echos the black leathers. Likewise, the gold/brown (brass, copper) echos the brown leathers.
I just must get a new camera and start shooting some pics.

That's precisely my thoughts, as well. Even though I think the brass looks swell with black, and the pewter looks fantastic with brown, white metal and black/yellow-orange metal and brown really call to eachother.
And getting back to the Cthulhu topic, that's one of the main reasons I wanted the Elder Sign buckle to be all pewter on the face. The very slick design portion of the buckle looks almost white in the light, and really picks up the white spot on the rayskin sporran.
That ties kilt, belt, buckle, and sporran all together, by combinations of visual and intellectual relevance, which is just the effect I was going for. :cthulhusmiley:

Mark, we can't say anything for sure, but it looks to me like there are enough folks around, or there will be soon, to get a second run in the works. I know that Lamar Britt wants in also, if a second run happens.
And the coolest part of it was how cost effective the material was. You couldn't beat it with a stick! Not even Seago Sensei's new blackthorn jo, and that's saying something.

Yeah, but...........there isn't any way to out-smart the look that you put together. I have an idea about a different.....uh......thing that you use with the belt. It would be sooooooo cool! It would be too tough to do, but a Celtic Knot head with tentacles. Dang.......the challenge of it all!

Muhahahahaha... :cthulhusmiley:
Thanks much for the comps sir, though the credit mostly goes to Scott, you and Lamar.
Celtthulhu DOES sound awesome, but yeah, it sounds like executing such a grand idea could drive one mad. *ziiiing*

Re: Cthulhu Kilts
Ta-Da!
While I've had my "Kilt-that-should-not-be" for almost a month, I was waiting for the accompanying goodies to arrive before the big debut.
The kilt is a 5yd box pleat by Matt Newsome, the waistcoat and hose are both via New House Highland as well. The devilfish sporran with the ex-MoD cantle is a placeholder until I can find time to make the "special" piece I have in mind for formal wear.
