Cthulhu Kilts
Good day all,
We have tracked the tartan in the Tartan place - http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...yardage-64165/
PIctures of the tartan are below in -

This thread is for tracking our kilts!
I contacted Barb today and was arranging to send the fabric to her after the holidays since she wouldn't get to it until spring but she had said to send it to her as she would be able to work on it during her travels. In this case Egypt. Like I said in on the email -

Re: Cthulhu Kilts
Yeah Jim, that's really cool. HPL would be pleased.
I'm unsure as to exactly when mine will be started, but as long as Matt gets the fabris soon, I believe he has to finish the kilt he's working on now, plus one more, and then it will be time for a kilt that should not be.
Can hardly wait...

Re: Cthulhu Kilts
Been playing with the Tartan That Should Not Be (TTSNB?) thinking how I would like it. Amy wants it to the sett.
I'm thinking to the stripe so I tried it out. With the mystery vertical -
A bit boring. Not to mention that much horizontal isn't the best for my rear.
Green vertical -
Better.
Purple verticals -
I think I liked this one the best.

Ooo- Thanks for the pleating options, Jim!
Very helpful, but I still think I'm going with the COS. ;)

Re: Cthulhu Kilts
Those pleats are wide enough for a box pleat, jim. If that's your intention then you're set. Otherwise make them each about 3/4" wide for an 8 yarder, 1" for a 6 yarder.
For a box pleat, I think I like the Purple lines best, but the bright Green has appeal.

Yep, that's the plan. Barb to do two box pleat kilts. One for Amy done to the sett, one to the stripe for me and hopes is that there is enough left of the 7 yds to do a waist coat at Rocky's. Should need 1 yd so should be ok.
Also doing a mini kilt for our Cthulhu plush but scraps should be enough for that.

Is there any symbolism of any partcular number, such as 3, 4 1/7, 5, etc. in the stories? If so, you could have a kilt made with that number of pleats.

I had the fabric shipped straight to Barb. Haven't heard yet if she gotten it.

Alright, that's a cool tartan. I hadn't looked at it because I can't afford it, but now that I see it... well... I want one!! Can't wait to see the pics!
