I don't normaly post stuff like this, but... what the heck ->

While out and about today, I had several stops to make.... one of which was the grocery store. I happened to be wearing my Xmarks kilt and a leather bomber jacket. While walking across the parking lot heading into the store, I was stopped by a woman - late '50s - who said...

"I like it! " she said, "the kilt - but are you dressed like a true Scot?? "

"In weather like this", I confessed, "I part with tradition sometimes."

"Can't blame you for that", she said as we parted company.

Things were going pretty well until I went into the store. Down one of the aisles, there was a rather scruffy looking couple - mid '20s - and as I passed by them, I over heard the guy make the "nice skirt" comment.

I casually stopped and picked up a can of juice, turned and remarked...

"Thanks and yes, it is a nice skirt.... but grown ups call it a kilt."

I smiled but the guys wife just looked a bit cross and they both turned and continued on their way. A nice grey haired lady who had been standing nearby smiled at me and said, "good for you." I just winked and continued my shopping. I did encounter the blue-jean couple later in another aisle, but they avoided making eye contact with me.

People can be funny sometimes.
