Here are some pictures of my first attempt at a kilt belt.
From previous posts you may know that I'm into carving and stamping leather.
This design incorporates Celtic Knots with the Fluer-de-Lis. I plan on wearing it with a sporran with the Scottish Rampant Lion.
The belt still needs finish work and I have to solve some technical problems, but you can get an idea of what it will look like.
The leather belt blank came from Tandy Leather. It was originally 3 inches wide, but I cut it down to 2 1/4 inches and will use the 3/4 inch strip for a sporran strap.
I find it hard to get good color pictures. The true color is a dark medium brown antique stain.
