While I like kilts (obviously), I do not think I could wear one in a working kitchen. By "working kitchen" I mean a restaurant kitchen as apposed to a home kitchen.
I work in the galley at Viking Cooking School here in Memphis. I wear chef’s pants and a t-shirt with kitchen clogs. I would think a kilt would get caught on things. You move awfully fast and there is a LOT of spinning, fast turning and jumping out of the way. But if it work for Gordon's show then GREAT! Personally I'd like to see the show.

I may have to buy one. The boss at the cooking school would let me wear it. He have no problems with the idea as long as all is safe.

Someone posted this clip on YouTube. Happily, Ramsay keeps his profanity in check.

This particular episode was on BBC America several weeks ago. Lots of "BLEEPS" for us yanks. I was more surprised though, that Scots were neither proprietors nor cooks in the "upscale" restaurants in Scotland...but then again, last week's show, here, was about a Black American woman with a "soul" food joint in Brighton or Bristol or some other "B" town in England.

Gordon Ramsey is brilliant - I've seen a few episodes of KN on BBC America but not that one. Sounds like a must see - thanks for the heads-up!

Phil, I agree he is brilliant at his job, but his language is absolutely appalling and, as a result I refuse to watch his TV programmes. There are those who watch because of his language, but not me!!

Funny thing, in the states - most of his rough language is beeped over or edited out which, I'm suspect you'll agree is no small task!
Cheers!

A little too salty, eh?
