It must be the season for good Scotch, a bottle of Balvenie 12 year old Doublewood, a gift from my oldest stepson, appeared under my Christmas tree this year. I haven't opened it yet, I've got to replenish my stock of blended Scotch first. I offer the blended stuff to those who don't appreciate single malts, this helps me preserve my supply of single malt. Am I being stingy, unhospitable or just frugal?
For the record there are some good blends out there, Dewar's 12 is pretty good, Famous Grouse works well too. Enjoy your Scotch, drink whatever you like and what works for you.
