    Belts

I apologize for my ignorance. Does anyone make a brown kilt belt? I have heard that if the sporan and shoes were to be brown, then so ought your belt. However I've not seen anyone promote a brown belt. Maybe I'm just thick and missing it.

On a seperate note, what is the best advice, other than the chain for your sporran? I've heard several people say that the chain wears out your kilt faster, I was just wondering what is the other alternatives?

I've gone over to a sporran strap in place of chain. Like the look and feel. Several people make them, and brown belts. Check out Cavscout's site http://www.oconeeleatherworks.com/. He's a frequent poster to this forum.

If you PM Cavscout I am sure he will get back to you soon, he got back to me within 10 mins when I PMed him, with a price that included shipping.

I'm sure there are others out there that supply brown belts, but Cavscout's are top quality.

I have a Chestnut colored belt and sporran strap set, which has a slight reddish tinge, but he has a medium brown color as well.

I was looking at this this morning: http://www.kiltgoodies.com/shopindex.htm

It does not really help you at the moment as it is sold out . They may get more in. They also have sporran straps on the same page.

The link I posted went to a different page. If you use that link click the "belt" button and that will take you to the page.

I can attest that Robin only sells merchandise of the highest quality. I don't know if his belts come from the same source as the sporran straps but the sporran straps are made by Cavscout in the USA.

    Con't forget Robert at RKilts.

    www.rkilts.com

He makes brown kilt belts, and a couple of different types of sporran belts.

I have the black belt and strap that Cavscout sells and they are top notch. He has several brown colors even to match whatever your wanting.
