Happy Tartan Day, yall!!!
I've had a stellar Tartan Day, not least because I got to wear my new Newsome box pleat in Weathered MacGregor out on the towne for First Friday here in Valdosta! I'm not much of a photo jockey, but I did take one before I took off for downtowne...
I have to say that Matt Newsome's kilts are THE BOMB!!! For all yall living in the South, especially the deep South, a Newsome kilt is a great combination for warm weather wear without sacrificing a handsome hang and swish! Man, the more I wear it the more I LOVE it! I even got the heaviest weight tartan normally available and this kilt is still a featherweight compared to my tank! I'm already planning my next kilt purchase from Mr Newsome (now if my waistline would stay put for half a year...)! Not only is it a great design with the box pleats and buckle placements- perfectly practical- the workmanship is outstanding. I couldn't ask for better! Thanks, Matt!!! I'm looking forward to becoming a regular customer... I guess that means i have to keep my day job (sigh...). Gotta do whucha gotta do...

Great pic, and a good recommendation!
Nice to see the greenery in southern GA - we had snow yesterday up here in West (By God) Virginia. South of the Mason-Dixon line, but SNOW in April? Come on...
It's a great looking kilt, and you certainly look like you enjoy it!

Thanks!
Sorry for the late reply, but did want to acknowledge your very kind complement. I believe you are also a recent recipient of a Matt Newsome kilt? GOD I love wearing this thing!!! Absolutely brilliant...
THanks again for the post and compliment.
Aye,

I'm glad you are enjoying the kilt! Great pic; very iconic looking with the flag.
BTW, it snowed here all yesterday evening, though it wasn't cold enough to accumulate anything. The wind sure howled, though. All sound and fury signifying nothing...

Great looking kilt. And everything seems to be in full bloom there in Valdosta. I was down there two weeks ago and the azaleas were already bursting everywhere.

Azalea City
Thanks again for all the compliments. Yeah, for a little while we had both the camelias and the azaleas in bloom, not to mention the dogwoods. In this picture their waning quite badly! But Spring is definitely the time of year for South Georgia!

That's a great looking kilt. I really like that tartan in the weathered colors. I feel you've nailed all of the great points about Matt's kilts right on the head. I love wearing mine too.
