    Doctor Whom?

I'm rather a fan of Doctor Who, and tonight, trying to distract myself from studying for finals, I rented Doctor Who and the Mind Robber, an episode starring Patrick Troughton, the second Doctor. In the episode, the Doctor's companions are Zoe and Jamie. Jamie is a Scotsman in kilt, played by Frazer Hines.

The thing is, it's a black and white episode, and I'm curious... anyone have any idea what tartan Jamie wears? It looks nice and strong in black and white, which makes me wonder if it's truly hideous in color.

My sister kindly checked online as she's a big Doctor who fan.
Apparently it was made specifically for the BBC, but it's a mix of California tartan and the Logan tartan.
Was made for the producer by a friend to celebrate his scottish roots and 40th birthday.

You could probably get away with the Logan modern tartan which is close...

I was surprised that the BBC site doesn't give Jamie under its list of featured companions - he is only mentioned in the episode descriptions and in a couple of photos of Patrick Troughton.

Yes it admits he was one of the most popular of the Dr Who companions!
