Another funeral, kilted of course!
I lost another friend to lung cancer yesterday. I've known Rodney for 25 years or more. He told me he regretted ever taking up smoking, and did give up a few years ago, but alas, the damage was done.
Still, he had made his peace with God and went quickly.
Funeral is on Monday, it will be a big one. He was a councillor in local government, always controversial, always standing up for what was right as he saw it. He has a wonderful wife and three billie-lids.
Kinda wish I had a kilt in that beautiful "Dark Isle" tartan for the occassion.

Sorry to hear of your friend Graham. We had a close friedn lose her fight with breast cancer in January. I wore my full daytime get up, as I know she would appreciate it. Funnily enough one of the little boys from her daughters highland dance class wore his kilt, pc and gear. When I told him he looked good, his mom said that he thought that he was always supposed to wear his best clothes to a funeral and he liked his dance kilt the best. Smart lad.
Luckily I have a wedding to attend today, so it will be a good day.
Best of luck with the funeral Graham and sorry again to hear about the loss of your friend. My best decision to date (besides my wife and kids) has been to quit smoking (14 months next week).

Thought and prayers to you. I lost my father to lung cancer a year and a half ago - know it isn't easy.

Condolences; its a horrible way to go but he's at peace now.
My mother was a twin and never smoked and lived to the age of 77. Her twin brother, my uncle, smoked until he was 62, gave up too late, and died of lung cancer at the age of 65.

I'm unfamiliar with this tartan -- what is its normal name?

Mr. MacDougall:
It's a black on black tartan, if I'm rightly recollecting!
