bowler hats
yes, i know hamish says not to.
however, in the right situation, i think you can pull it off. i'm thinking very specifically of a deliberately peculiar ensemble i put together last year ( i WISH i had pictures, but i don't) consisting of:
black kilt
black leather sporran
black shirt
silver necklace
black leather jacket
black leather combat boots
several thin silver chains arranged in a such a way that they fell like wallet chains down my left leg (not past the hem of the kilt, though)
i finished the outfit with a black bowler hat. the resulting effect was... non-traditional. i looked rather Clockwork Orange meets Metallica.
you may all shun me now. i give you permission.
