Calling SoCal Kilties!!

I'll be in San Diego for a conference during the week of Aug. 13. Anyone available for a kilt night?

At this point, the best nights for my availability look like Wed., Aug 15, and Thurs., Aug 16. I've got commitments Mon. and Tue.

I will have a car, so I can be pretty flexible. I can come up to the LA area if that works best for everyone.

Sounds good. I live in Escondido, about 30 miles north of downtown San Diego. I think I could make at least one of those dates.

For downtown, The Field is pub of choice. In Escondido, we have R. O'Sullivans, and then there's Tom Giblins in Carlsbad. Others may have recommendations?

Yeah, I know . . . and the trip last week wasn't even long enough to try and meet any of the local XMarkers . . . and it was to Minneapolis - St. Paul, so it could have included a research trip to SWK and Frugal . . . * sigh *

I don't know if anything has been decided yet - There's Hennessey's in Vista, but if your new to the area?? Why did I miss the first post??? Now I feel like I am playing catch-up.

As for where, Mark where is your meeting and how comfortable are you getting around the area? I have no problem coming downtown if that's more convenient. James, how about you?

If you guys can do Thursday, I am mobile! I can meet you anywhere.

I'm not that familiar with San Diego.

But with google or map quest, we should be able to meet anywhere.

I mentioned Hennessey's in Vista. It's a nice joint, lighted parking out back, fairly easy to find. It's at 224 Main Street. Vista California

I see by google that there are two other Hennessey's one in San Diego at 708 fourth Ave San Diego

another at 2777 Roosevelt in Carlsbad

I am not familiar with the ones in San Diego or Carlsbad.
