Busch Gardens Kilted Adventure
My wife, Sharon said she would like to go to Busch Gardens Williamsburg for our anniversary. So, today we went and were joined by my sister, Denise, a co-worker, Brandon and his girl friend Jessica.
I went kilted. I was somewhat amused as we left the parking lot in our tram to the amusement park. The parking lot was called Scotland. The recording on the tram gave a list of don’ts and not alloweds. One of the warnings was to be properly attired. How fitting leaving ‘Scotland’ for the amusement park in my kilt!”
Below is my sister, Denise with new found friend. (The park had a Halloween theme for the weekend.)

My wife Sharon found this flowering hat or is it a woman-eating plant?

Jessica, Brandon and I wait in line for the roller coaster, the Griffon.

I found everyone complimentary to my kilt. As we getting our tickets one of the park ladies came up and wanted to ask me a personal question. You know the question. There were two more questioners in the park but asked my wife, Sharon. A couple guys commented “nice skirt” in friendly way. As well as more “nice kilt!” I replied to all with a thank you. A few inquired what tartan it was and then gave me their Scottish heritage. One gal asked me if I worked there? No, I answered. After a few more questions, she gave me a thumbs up for my wearing the kilt to the amusement park.

Nothing, not even the promise of a kilt, would get me up in one of those things!
