Christmas Giving - Kilted
Hey, there!
I just wanted to share more of the kindness and generosity of the X-Markers with everyone. Our very own super-talented O'Neille gave me a lovely gift in true "pay it forward" style...he sent me an amazing three candles kilt pin and suggested that, if possible, I take a photo of myself kilted giving a donation to a favorite charity.
So, here is me, bedecked in the Wallace tartan, giving a gift for a child to our St. Mark's Church Community Giving Tree (which collects Christmas gifts for children and adults who would otherwise go without)...
And, here is the magnificent three candles kilt pin:
That same day, there was a tea at my Church, to which I wore the Wallace and the new kilt pin (which will be my favorite because of both its beauty and the story behind it)...I shared the story of the three candles kilt pin with many people that day. AND, hopefully, some little kid will be happy and warm on Christmas day with his or her new yellow fleece jacket from the giving tree.
Thanks so much, O'Neille, and a very happy Christmas to you and yours and to all the X-Markers!!

That is so awesome...I didn't have any candy or food, so I gave these three little Iraqi Children some bottled water and the rest of my money...It only came to a total of $23.00, but that's all I had...I would have posted a picture of me with the kids, but I was packing weapons and is forbidden...You should have seen the little girl in the red just clutching the water bottles...They have hardly anything on their feet and their toes were so cold and all scarred up...I felt terrible that I couldn't do anything more...I just wanted to take them somewhere safe, but alas, our mission is the priority and we have to avoid getting caught up in humanitarian efforts.
Merry Christmas

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Thanks for posting. I appreciate the "pay it forward" and the additional hassle of posting a pic. I'm still hopeful to see a few more in the coming days. O'Neille
